Shredding the Shed: Abi Snyder Takes 3rd in Frederick

The Mid-Atlantic granite proved no match for Ride Fierce Racing’s own Abi Snyder. This past weekend, the rugged ridgelines of the Frederick Watershed played host to the infamous Shed Enduro in Frederick County, MD. Known for its punishing rocky singletrack, “The Shed” is notorious for exposing weak spots in both rider and machine. Abi stayed completely dialed-in, navigating the grueling transfer stages and intense timed descents to secure an incredible 3rd place podium spot.

A Spid-Tastic Meetup on the Mountain

We were absolutely thrilled to be on the ground in Maryland to cheer Abi on in person. Getting to witness her high-torque execution firsthand, navigating the legendary grit of Catoctin Mountain, was a massive highlight for the Spid Werkz team. Meeting Abi off the bike and seeing her authentic community-first energy reinforced exactly why she is such a powerhouse representative of our mission.

The Gravity Grind

Enduro racing is a unique beast. Riders are required to pedal up substantial climbing transfers just to reach the start of each gravity stage. The Shed Enduro forces racers through miles of raw, intermediate-to-advanced terrain. It demands flawless shifting, predictable braking, and immense physical stamina to hold the line when the trails get punchy. Earning a top-three finish on a course that asks this much of an athlete is a massive testament to Abi’s grit and preparation.

Keep It Spid

The Spid Werkz Foundation is incredibly proud to back athletes who bring this level of dedication to the trail and to their local communities.
