Gemma Wollenschlaeger and Team USA Win Silver at Paris 2024 Paralympics!

We at Spid Werkz are thrilled to celebrate the incredible achievement of our athlete, Gemma Wollenschlaeger, who won a silver medal at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games in the PR3 Mixed 4+ rowing event. Gemma, along with her talented teammates—Emelie Eldracher (Andover, Mass./MIT), Ben Washburne (Madison, Conn./Williams College), Alex Flynn (Wilmington, Mass./Tufts University), and Skylar Dahl (Minneapolis, Minn./University of Virginia)—put on a spectacular performance, finishing just behind the gold-winning Great Britain team. Their outstanding effort secured a third consecutive silver medal for Team USA in this event, continuing a proud legacy in the mixed four with coxswain category.

Gemma and her crew came into the Games with high energy, camaraderie, and determination, setting their sights on the podium—and that’s exactly where they ended up. From the first stroke to the last, this team radiated positivity and speed, feeding off one another’s energy to deliver a powerful performance on the global stage. It’s safe to say the vibes were unmatched, and at the heart of it all was Gemma, leading the charge with her infectious enthusiasm and fierce dedication.

We couldn’t be prouder of how Gemma represented the U.S. and Spid Werkz at the Games. Her commitment to the sport is evident not just in her power and precision on the water but also in her ability to raise awareness for para rowing and para sports more broadly. Beyond her athletic prowess, Gemma brought “smiles per hour,” reminding us all that joy and passion are just as important as strength and endurance when it comes to competing at the highest levels.

As we celebrate this amazing silver medal performance, we’re even more excited about what’s next for Gemma. She is pushing the boundaries of rowing, helping to build the future of U.S. and para rowing, and inspiring others along the way. We can’t wait to see where this journey takes her, and we’ll be cheering her on as she continues to break barriers and make history.

Congratulations, Gemma, and here’s to many more victories ahead! Keep leading the hype train, and we’ll be right there with you.
